“אִם־כִּסִּיתִי כְאָדָם פְּשָׁעָי לִטְמֹון בְּחֻבִּי עֲוֺנִי”
(איוב פרק ל”א, פסוק ל”ג)
“If I have covered my transgressions like Adam, by hiding my iniquity in my heart.”
(Job 31:33)
At times like these — when we sit in shelters, hear the sirens, feel the ground trembling —
our inner layers are exposed, the parts we usually keep hidden.
Job says: I didn’t hide. I didn’t play games. I stood honest before God and before myself.
His words weren’t spoken in comfort — they came from pain, from turmoil.
But even in that place, he chose not to cover up — not his weaknesses, not his fears, not his faults.
He said: I’m open. I’m real.
A shelter isn’t only physical — it can be a moment to pause, reflect, and be real.
